Our Story
Arenson Office Furniture, a family owned office furniture dealer, was founded in San Diego, California in 1975 by Bernie Arenson.
Started as a small store in the downtown area, Arenson Office Furniture is now a leader in the industry and one of the largest office furniture dealers in the region.
In April 1988, Arenson Office Furniture purchased a new building in the Miramar area of San Diego and moved their operation to a more central location
that could serve the entire county of San Diego. Arenson Office Furniture has one of the largest office furniture showrooms in San Diego, over 24,000 square feet,
along with a warehouse all under one roof. We operate our own fleet of delivery trucks with a stable force of employees, many who have been with the company over 20 years.
The Arenson family still retains dad’s philosophy of
"Everyday Low Discount Prices."
Every customer is treated like family by the Arenson family. We strongly believe that personal service, low prices and quality furniture will keep our customers coming back again and again.
Bernie Arenson - Founder (In Loving Memory: 1921 - 2009)
Bernie was born in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to San Diego in 1950. He entered the grocery business with his father-in-law and brother-in-law and started M&S Foods in downtown San Diego. In 1960 they founded Unimart Stores, one of the first membership food and department stores in the country. After years in the grocery business, Bernie bought an existing office furniture business in 1975. He, along with his children, started Arenson Office Furniture. He was the “CHAIR-man” of the company for 34 years.Bernie was an active volunteer in the community, as president of the Southern California Grocers Association, president of Beth Jacob Congregation, president and campaign chairman of the United Jewish Federation.
We miss Bernie, but his values of great customer service and everyday low discount prices still is our guiding philosophy.
